Campus Platform Chelsea Boot

I’ve always loved Frye’s campus boot style since I was a teenager. This is my first pair of Chelsea style campus boots and I was thrilled to nab them at such a low price! I got my usual size 8.5 and they fit good - they could stand being a touch wider, but overall they’re good. Not planning on walking a marathon in them or anything, so I wasn’t expecting them to be perfectly comfortable (no pair of Frye boots I’ve ever owned have been perfectly comfortable, sorry to say… still love the brand though!) However, I was very appalled when the boots arrived… whoever packed them for shipping just threw the boots in a plastic liner and shipped them in a plastic bag - no box, no padding, not even any tissue paper to help prevent scratches or any other damage from getting knocked around during shipping! These are genuine leather boots that originally retailed for $400 for goodness sake! I consider myself lucky that they arrived unscathed, especially since they were final sale. But whoever is in charge of shipping needs to take better consideration.
