Rory Long Sleeve Denim Maxi Shirtdress

I have several of the Rory dress. It’s truly maxi length (I’m 5’3”), if you want short, go with the Mary. Some reviews say it’s way overpriced blah blah. Maybe BUT MADE IN THE US so that’s also why!!! & it’s a whole outfit so that helps justifiy the price to me, also great quality. The XL is generous which I appreciate for my fluctuating weight. I wish they’d put one more button at the top but I just wear a cotton T underneath so no cleavage shows.

I had tried this dress in another the gorgeous blue linen, but I really wanted white, and this is the only fabric it was offered in. I was really hesitant because I thought that denim would be too heavy for a summer dress. I wanted to be able to wear it in hot weather. Well I'm so happy to report that, this is not so much denim but a lightweight twill, and it's absolutely perfect in every way. It's like your best shirt ever, only really long and so pretty and comfortable!! Our grandmas had it right wearing house dresses in hot weather. This is a wonderful interpretation of those. I think it is flattering but to be honest, I really wouldn't care if it wasn't. I think I might need two of the exact same dress because I can't see wearing anything else right now! Get the dress!! it's worth the price.

I can’t say enough good things about the F&E dresses. I have several Rory & Mary dresses and they are worth every penny. It’s a classic timeless shirt dress that will never go out of style. Someone mentioned that this denim dress is “bulky”. F&E makes this in “famous denim” which is obviously a heavier fabric than say the poplin material, also available. So do your research on the manufacturers site according to your particular needs as this dress comes in famous denim, linen & lightweight poplin.
