This is a simply stunning blouse. First, and most important (and one should always prioritize this with any garment): it’s flattering. This is a poets blouse, but it is cut expertly to fall around the body so that one is not swallowed by fabric. Rather, it drapes artfully around the body, skimming the prettiest bits, and perching gently about the top of the hips. I don’t usually go for an elasticized bottom, bite this one WORKS. It’s slimming. Makes you feel slender. Second, the material is quite lovely: somewhere between the rougher hewn quality of cotton and the satiny feel of silk, it’s just the right weight to waft prettily about, keeping you cool in summer, and extending deep into spring. Finally, the pattern: I was concerned it would be loud. Given the subtlety of cut and the fineness of the fabric, the off-white under porcelain-blue is certainly vibrant, but not too much. It’s a hit! Get it, wear it! I love mine. Oh! And don’t size down. You want the extra volume.
