Linen Blend Button-Up Shirt

I have Thyroid issues and have difficulty regulating body temperature. I get hot and cold easily. Since it's summer, even a lightweight hoodie can feel too warm when I want to shake off a chill. I realized that a button down shirt would be the perfect weight, and also look more put together than a hoodie. Originally, I purchased this shirt in white, but realized I'm crazy, because a white shirt will just get stained, so I returned it for a lovely shade of medium blue. In the store, I was trying to decide between this shirt and a blue chambray cotton shirt. The chambray was softer, but the collar and cuffs were smaller (and looked flimsy), and the buttons were off white, and the shirt had a pocket. The buttons on this shirt are the same color as the fabric, the collar and cuffs look nicer than the chambray shirt. But I was torn because of the softness… linen and isn't as soft as cotton (at first), but there are plenty of articles about how you can wash linen to make it softer. So I chose this shirt over the chambray, because the cut is super flattering, and looks tailored yet casual. I washed and dried this shirt according to the instructions, and it feels softer. I decided to size up to size Medium, since I wanted to wear this as a layering piece, and it's perfect. Looks great worn loose over a white tee and leggings, or tied at the waist. This button down was such a great find. I might go back for the striped version of this shirt if it's still available.
