Turtleneck Merino Wool Sweater

I like the sweater a lot. I bought it in Sea Breeze, a lovely pale shade that I probably couldn't wear before my hair went gray. It hangs nicely. The fabric is smooth and lovely. The turtleneck is flattering--higher than it looks in the picture. I am keeping it, happily. Still, I wish the cut were a little less generous. I am a large-breasted woman, not fat, but not as thin as I was in my twenties and thirties. The amount of fabric is a little too much for me, even though I bought a medium--a size down from my usual size. In inexpensive, probably truer-to-size clothing. I sometimes even need an extra large top. The medium fits me well across the bust (I'm a 34DD), So I can't believe the small would fit across the bust. But the sweater would flatter me more if there were a little less of it.
