Stand Collar Organic Linen & Organic Cotton Jacket

Size purchased: XL Fit: Oversized Price Paid: $56.23 (sale) I am kinda proud at myself for snagging this jacket at $56.23 (sale) considering the quality and the fact that its made of natural and organic fibers! This jacket is soft, comfortable and I would say the fabric is midweight but the properties of the linen/cotton blend make it so that you don't really need a lot of fabric to keep your temperature regulated. That being said, its not a winter jacket, more like a good summer/autumn seasonal piece that is perfect for layering. To acknowledge other reviews, yes linen wrinkles. That's just how linen is as a fiber. Also, the fabric doesn't feel like burlap to me personally, but going back to baby-ing, linen does get softer the more you wash it, so i can see how linen newbies may not get the best first impression. Linen also shrinks in high heat so if you dont want your investment to go to waste, you might have to baby this piece a little by washing in cold water, with woolite or similar gentle fabric detergent (dont use too much, you only need a tablespoon or 2 for a whole load) and air drying. If you take care of your clothes, your clothes will take care of you. This piece is function over form as some clothes are designed to be, and some fibers are better suited for. Know your fibers!

I'm very happy with this purchase. It's very suitable for hot humid days as a top sophisticated jacket. The high color looks smart. I had mine altered to make it slimmer under the arm and at the torso, which cost me $30 at the local alterations shop. I toss it in the wash and lay flat to dry or dry it in the dryer. It's a great piece, ya'll.
