Lightweight Laptop Backpack

I have a very long commute to/from work and was looking for a nice backpack that didn’t look bulky but yet was spacious enough. This is it! This bag has a nice compact shape yet holds so much. It fits my laptop, some note books and documents, and even ny gym clothes and sneakers. The one thing that I’d have changed is that it doesn’t have a pocket for a water bottle, but other than that, I love it. The color is very nice as well. The bag is comfortable to carry and seems durable. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I have been desperately seeking the perfect travel pack back … not too big with multiple pockets and secure straps. I’ve tried lululemon, Calpak, and away and always had issues with zippers breaking, painful straps and lack of storage. The Duchamp backpack is the clear winner. I have plenty of room for my MacBook, iPad and toiletries and a water bottle. I’ve traveled with it for the past 5 weeks and it has exceeded my expectations.

I was looking for a slim, stylish laptop bag to replace my beloved Hedgren bag when the zipper started to fall apart. After much looking, I found this one. It's not quite as stylish or as sleek as the Hedgren bag, but it's got greater capacity and just enough pockets and compartments. Like the Hedgren bag, it's also got a strap for the laptop sleeve (it's surprising how many bags don't have that), and it's handsome without being ostentatious. The shoulder straps are also quite comfortable, and it's got another strap to attach it to rolling suitcases. I do wish the interior were another color, other than black (it can be a bit difficult to "see" the compartments and such when everything is pitch black). I've only had the bag for a few weeks, so I can't comment on durability, but I'm quite pleased with it so far, and the quality/price ratio is quite high.

I bought this backpack to carry as a "personal item" on an international flight, along with my carry-on suitcase. It fits the max dimensions to count as a personal item and should fit under the seat on the plane. It fits my 16" MacBook Pro laptop, a medium size Wacom tablet, external hard drive, cardigan, along with other items. I didn't think it had the mesh pocket for a water bottle as pictured, until I discovered it last night - it tucks inside of a zippered, hidden pocket along the side of the backpack. This is great so you can tuck it back in when it's not in use.

Nice quality, great design! Contrary to what another reviewer said, there is a water holder pouch on the exterior. It’s nicely hidddn in a zipper compartment for when you don’t need it. This will be great for travel, both for my laptop and related work things, and a few things needed for comfort on the plane.
