Short Sleeve Cotton Midi Shirtdress

I was surprised by how much I like this dress. Like another reviewer, I am not overly into purple, and I would have passed on this dress if not for the positive reviews. As others said, it is well made with great attention to detail. The skirt is fully lined which helps it feel full and swingy, but it does not seem to make me look heavy. It is flattering, feminine and a real classic! I usually wear about a size 2, ordered the xs, and it is perfect.

The tailoring on this dress is spectacular, with beautiful details. I'm not a huge fan of purple. I can count on one hand how many purple items I have in my wardrobe, but this is a really pretty lilac; it won me over the minute I saw it. I'm normally a medium to large, so I pulled the medium, but it was a bit tight through the bust, and though the waist was snug, it didn't feel or look like it was too tight; the tailoring cinched my waist. So, I pulled the large to see if the bust would be better. It is, but I'm probably still going to wear my bra that helps minimize to give me just that bit more room. I'm 36DDD. I really love the look of this dress, but I would say that the bust line runs pretty small. For context, I’m a 36C. I ordered a medium in this dress, and it doesn’t quite button all the way closed at the bust. I will have to make sure I have the right bra on to get this to work. I’m 5’8” about 135 pounds.
