Ruth Asymmetrical Neck Midi Dress

I bought three of these dresses as I love the design. I generally wear a size small (4-6), so I bought the small. I could not even get the small zipped up in the back. The waist comes in a little snugger for a form fitting look. I sent the small back and ordered a medium which is a size (8-10). Well, it fit but it was extremely tight. If I sneezed, it would have blew the zipper out. So, I ordered a size LARGE (10-12). The large is huge! I think it would work if I had it altered in the waist and shoulders; however, I have to take it to someone and pay extra to have it done. Love the design, but the fit and sizing is way off.

The dress seems to be styled to fit snugly but has no stretch to it. The dark magenta color is a deep color and was actually pretty nice. I ordered a small and could barely get it over my hips and was not even close to getting it zippered. I usually wear a 4 or 6 depending on the brand.

I bought this dress for an upcoming wedding. I am busty so I usually buy a larger size and have the waist altered for a better fit. This dress has a nice weight to the fabric, and the peacock blue is a beautiful color. However, the fit was really odd. It gaped at the shoulders and neckline and was tight in the waist. There was no way alterations could have fixed the fit, so I returned it.
