Button Front Maxi Skirt

I like this more than expected. It's cute on, comfy, and the fabric seems like it will be good for hot weather. I like that even though the back of the waistband is elasticized, the front is not which just looks better. The buttons are cute (& real/functional if you're wondering). I usually wear medium and that is what I purchased and it fits well - my waist at the smallest part where I wear the waistband is 31" (and it has give so would still fit if a grew a few inches). I'm 5'10" and it hits the top of my foot like in the picture. I like that it could work with different color tops -- cream, black, pink, chambray -- to mix it up. I also am not a fan of tiered skirts/dresses but the single low tier is subtle and I don't feel like I'm supposed to be on the prairie.

I love this skirt! I bought: Size small, yellow colour. I'm 5'3, weigh 135lbs. The material is lightweight and thin, but in a high-quality way. It has a nice drape and weight to it, even while being a good material for hot weather. I was worried the pattern on the yellow would look busy or dated, but it's actually beautiful, and the colours work with SO many tops! My one concern are the buttons. They definitely feel a little loose, and I will likely end up reinforcing the stitching on them myself so as not to lose them. That said, they're pretty too. And functional, not just for decoration. Which I like, because I can unbutton a couple on the bottom. The single ruffle is actually very sweet, and adds to the visual flowiness of the skirt as you walk. I'm 5'3", so, it is a skirt I have to wear with heels (which I wear almost daily). If I wanted to wear it with flats, I'd have to have it hemmed by about 1.5-2 inches (so, not much). I love the waistband. The elastic at the back makes the waistband so comfy, especially for sitting. However, the front is flat and not elasticated, so it sits flat and drapes really nicely (I find fully elastic waistbands often make me look poofy or frumpy) because I'm curvy and have a short torso as well. Honestly, if I could change one thing, it would be to add pockets, lol. I wear this to work and dress it up a bit with heels and a nice shirt, and also to run errands with a tank top and platform sandals. So happy I got it.
