Tweed Sheath Midi Dress

Bought this for a work holiday party. Zipper fastener broke by the time I got out of the car. I was able to adjust but the bottom kept slipping out of the zipper hook. Throughout the day the zipper kept being undone from the bottom. Thankfully I had my coat and it was winter, to cover up. I didn’t end up at the party to avoid embarrassment. I however reported this to the manufacture and hope they modify the design to make zipper functionality more robust. Until then, I would not recommend purchasing this item to avoid the inevitable wardrobe malfunction

I bought this dress last July and wore it for my daughter’s senior year photo shoot for 8 hours. And yesterday I wore this dress, yes it was only the second time I wore this dress that after 4 hours of sitting at an award ceremony event, the zipper broke open from the hem to the crotch. Luckily, the zipper broke as I was getting in the car after the event. I couldn’t believe what just happened! I was and am soooo disappointed in this dress because I actually really liked it!!!! I paid the full price!!! I want my money back! Now I see that someone else also had the same zipper problem. I bought size 2 and 4 and kept the size 4 because it was a little roomy. So it wasn’t because the dress was too tight on me. It was just the quality of the zipper DKNY uses. The cheapest material possible for over a $100 dress! Unbelievable.

The fit is so strange. I ordered it in my normal size 2 and the chest was so tight i couldn’t zip it. I ordered a 4, which I could zip, and then the fit of the garment was revealed- tight on top, long and loose and weird on the bottom. Nothing to be done but return. Oh yes and it’s oddly sparkly but not in an exciting holiday way.

Really wanted to love this dress to wear to court, but upon putting it on, it was almost laughable at how sparkly it was. It’s not gray specs like the photo its literally glistening in the light. Not suitable work office but maybe an office holiday party. It was tight in my chest (36DD) and wide at the hips. Terribly long too. Several inches past my knee and I’m 5’9.
