Pleated Belted Midi Shirtdress

Beautiful, gentle, high-quality material that falls gracefully on the body. The front view is excellent and flattering, like all DKNY dresses. The sophisticated look is achieved easily. But like all the designs of DKNY in this cut, the side view is horrendous. The hips look much bigger than normal, dwarfing the bust, and you look much older than you normally would; heavier-looking, more matronly, and not sophisticated or beautiful. I was aghast when I saw an executive speaker on the internet dressed in this similar style of dress cut, making her waist look obviously bigger. This is one not for the modern woman who is not petite & razor thin at the waist, like mommy of the older generation, ladies. Dress wisely.

I rarely find a perfect dress online the first try. I don’t think the picture does it justice. It’s so much more beautiful in person. I got so many compliments on it. The fabric is soft and stretchy so it’s comfortable. It looks elegant, but effortless. The color is so much prettier than a navy. It’s a sparkly dark blue that’s very different and unique and fascinating.

This is such a gorgeous dress! Perfect for dinners, office parties and in general when you want to wear something nice to work. I work in tech where everyone wears casual clothing ;) the dress tends to run a bit large. I am between sizes 8/10 and ordered size 10 and think I could have gone with a 8.
