No breaking in required.
I was super surprised with these shoes as flats create blisters for me in a matter of minutes, so I rarely wear them. I sized up a full size, but on accident and with ease. Accident because someone placed these size 8.5 in the 7.5 section of NordRack, but the 8.5 worked perfect. I'm normally a 7.5M in Heels (Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman, VANELi); 8M in Nike Free Trainers; 38 in rag & bone Rain Boots. 8.5 in these. I wear them as my "house shoes" in my Condo, & throughout the building (laundry, etc.). They're so easy, yet so classic and timeless. Who knew?!

Comfy shoes to wear immediately
Comfortable. They're very nice quality. I almost sized up to a 9 with the review saying they run small. I'm usually an 8.5 and found these a little big. I bought them final sale, so they work. But I wouldn't size up. I got the ivory and moss suede. Love both colors and am excited to wear them.
