Diamond Quilted Puffer Coat

I just tried on this coat at the store and was very impressed. It runs very large. I usually wear size L in coats but with this one I had to go with size S for proper fit, and there was still plenty of room left for thick sweaters. It’s a very attractive coat, mid weight, not overly puffy. It feels like having a cozy comforter on. The sleeve cuffs are great. The length is just under the knee on me (5’3”). The double zipper looks very sturdy and doesn’t get stuck. The pockets are warm and have zippers.

I love this coat! If you are familiar with a trapeze cut, you'll know that it is made to have a full cut through the middle. That said, I was between sizes based on the measurements shown for this coat. I initially tried the Small and it was far too wide, even for a full cut. The XS is great--still a full cut, but scaled proportionately. I'm 5'3" and a regular size 4/Small in most tops and bottoms. The shirt-tail bottom is a fresh take. I appreciate the soft cozy flannel lined and zippered pockets and generous cut. It's a good mid-weight coat that won't be overly warm in milder climates. The hood is a good size, too, to fully protect in the rain.

Thankfully I listened to other reviewers on sizing down. I typically wear a women’s M so I ordered the XS and still had plenty of room for layers. I love it! For size reference I’m 5’2, 138 lb. The length was perfect for my height. I just wished it didn’t have that glossy sheen outer but I noticed most coats that are water repellent has it. No big deal but I always prefer a more matte color tone. The color Titan is a true dark grey. It’s very nice. Don’t let this coat fool you, it’s quite warm so it’s perfect for the colder winter months. What I also like is the pockets have a zipper closure & it’s also fleece lined for warmth too. The zipper hardware is great quality & sturdy. The quilting design is very IN this year. This will be a nice classic oversized coat I’ll get to enjoy for a while.
