Here are a few important details to know about our sound puzzles: They're light-activated, and once new batteries have been installed, it's best to use the puzzle in a brightly lit room. When you remove a puzzle piece from the board, you'll see a little circle, which is the light sensor. Once the sensor has been exposed to light, you'll hear the sound when you place the puzzle piece back on the board. Make sure all the pieces are in the board after play time.
If playing with your puzzle in a well-lit room does not make each piece "sound off" consistently, please give us a call at 800 284 3948 and we'll be more than happy to help you. Please have the puzzle nearby when you call so that we can get some information from the puzzle itself. Thanks so much for supporting our company. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

No music to my ears
Received this puzzle from a friend. I put new batteries in and it does not work. Feeling disappointed.

Here are a few important details to know about our sound puzzles: They’re light-activated, and once new batteries have been installed, it’s best to use the puzzle in a brightly lit room. When you remove a puzzle piece from the board, you’ll see a little circle, which is the light sensor. Depending on the style, once the sensor has been exposed to light, you’ll hear the sound OR when you place the puzzle piece back on the board.
If playing with your puzzle in a well-lit room does not make each piece “sound off” consistently, please give us a call and we'll be more than happy to help you. Please have the puzzle nearby when you call so that we can get some information from the puzzle itself. Thanks so much for supporting our company. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

Good quality but missed the mark. ps Batteries not included.
I love the quality and pictures. It's nice to have on/off switch for sound. (you'll need phillips-head screwdriver - eyeglass repair kit size). We have the shapes puzzle and love that you hear the name of each shape - pre- reading skills. However, the musical instrument puzzle is disappointing in that it dies NOT say the name of the instrument. It plays "Old MacDonald" using each instrument and when you turn it on... very annoying. We use this with our Adult Son with Autusm. the little nibs are good for fine moror and matching skills. I was so looking forward to using this as he loves music and wanted to integrate with his MUTH. I will probably give to our granddaughter.

Good idea, but...
Good idea, but product was disappointing. Not engaging enough for my 4 year old. Product was glitchy, puzzle responses varied, so not best teaching tool: sometimes instruments and sounds matched- sometimes they didn't, and tonal differences were too subtle.
