really tight in shoulders, order a size up

I usually am somewhere between a medium and a large. 5’10 195lbs. I would say I have an out of shape previously athletic build. The jacket itself is really nice, high quality and functional. It looks great. I would fit in the large if it wasn’t for the extremely tight shoulders area. It makes it hard to reach your arms forward without a lot of resistance. I am returning this and ordered an XL. I haven’t received it yet so not sure if that will resolve it.

Top quality and style - size down!

Purchased this for my slender, very fit son who wears a M in Madewell clothing and jackets. This raincoat is the highest quality, style and usefulness but was too small across shoulders and arms. Exchanged for a L.
