Cole Haan Feather & Down Puffer Jacket with Faux Fur Trim

Slimmer than usual down coats, which I love. So it can go casual or dressier, a big plus. Very grateful it comes in XXS which makes it fit sleeker for me. Even though it fits fine with just a top, I can still fit a sweater or jacket underneath. The spread of the collar is pretty, as is the color of the faux fur. Seems warm enough so far in 35/40 degrees.

I love it! It’s beautiful. Get it as a staple fashion coat. Parts of The fur on the hood sticks up & out a little bit & it looks really cute. I got the carbon color & it’s gorgeous. It’s Almost iridescent a little bit. My only concerns: Idk if it’s waterproof or water resistant... But, If I were skiing in it, I’d probably size up bc it’s tight in the arms around my shoulders when I raise them shoulder height. Also my arms are long & sleeves could be 2 inches longer.

I bought this in early fall because I’d lost 50 lbs AND lost my previous down coat due to a fire (my clothes are all at the restoration cleaners till I can move back after the house is repaired). The only puffer I rescued was a size XL Costco cheapie both too huge and not warm enough. When I ordered this I was wearing size M in most things and even S in others. I didn’t wear it till this weekend when the temperatures plunged into the teens, by which time I’d bought an interim size S Costco polyfill puffer for late fall and size S Blue Duck shearling for subzero weather. Both fit nicely even over layers. But this one barely zipped up over just a T-shirt under a sweatshirt; it was a struggle snapping the placket closed before zipping up the coat. Asymmetry didn’t help matters either (despite my own similar asymmetry); and the sturdy metal zipper doesn’t zip smoothly (will have to lube it with silicone or a candle). Looks great, nice and warm, but will definitely not fit over my cable sweaters or even a blazer. Guess I’ll have to see whether it’s warm enough over just a single thin layer—subzero wind chills are forecast for this week. Not going to return it, because I wore it, removed the tags and didn’t save the receipt. I know about Nordstrom’s generous return policy but feel it would be unethical to take advantage of it in this case. And I’m too proud to exchange it for a size L!!!
