Ballet Flat (Women)

I have these in cream and black. I throw them on when I need something a bit nicer than sneakers. Every time I wear them, I get at least one complement. I guess these little things stand out. I’m surprised that even though they have little such support, they fit like a glove and mold to my feet. If you want, put a little arch pad inside. I did that, but when I lost the supports, I wore the shoes without them and didn’t notice a difference on my old, ornery feet.

Nice shoe: stylish, simple, elegant, but... Overly thin heel and sole that is not made for outside walking on sidewalks and parking lot surfaces. Rather, it's like a ballroom dance slipper (minus the non-skid suede leather bottoms), made to be carried to one's destination then slipped on once inside the building. Please, Cole Haan, make a shoe that will hold up under normal use, with a sturdier heel and sole rather than the flimsy one you tack on (glue?) to the bottom of an otherwise beautiful shoe. We're not talking lug soles, just what was once considered a normal, durable tread in good quality shoes in "days gone by" when things were made to last!
