What it does: The powder and foundation combined in one portable compact. Long-wearing, full-coverage powder works as an over-foundation finisher or as a powder foundation. The formula is extraclingy for double coverage.

How to use: Smooth powder on with sponge applicator. Use where needed or for allover application. Start in center of face, blending outward with fingertips. For a seamless look blend well, especially along jawline. Sponge is washable with soap and water; allow to dry.

Matte Ivory = cakey, day-glo orange

I chose the lightest shade marketed for cool, very fair skin tones, and Matte Ivory was an abject failure. It darkened my skin and turned it orange. Applied over Clinique DDML moisturizer + sunscreen, this powder settled in pores, highlighted texture (dry patches and fine lines), and looked like a thick, cakey mask, even where I applied in a sheer layer. I wanted a natural-looking powder foundation that can be built up where needed, and doesn't require a lot of work (just sweep and go). I love most things Clinique, but this product was a Superfail.
