Stripe Belted Maxi Shirtdress

This dress is going to be one I reach for all summer! It is so comfortable and breezy being made from 100% cotton. Although it isn’t sheer, I would be careful on choosing the right colored undergarments. The dress is casual, but has design elements like the darting on the shoulders and longer sleeves that I think elevate it. I also thinks it can be worn with or without the belt, which is a plus! It definitely runs large. I typically wear an XS, but sized down to XXS even though I’m 17 weeks pregnant. This will be perfect with a growing bump this summer and even better for breastfeeding next summer. So glad I grabbed it while it was on sale!

Nice dress print but too large and long. I usually wear size Large sometimes Medium. The Large was way too big and the Medium just wasn’t right either. Mostly too much material at lower half of dress. In size Medium you could truly see through it. Mostly the thinness of dress throws off look…can see backside and undergarment when trying on at Nordstrom store. Sure, one could wear an under-slip or the right undergarments but with such large side slits on both sides of dress and fact that it’s meant to be a cool breezy summer dress, why must a lady go through so much to ensure no one can see your private business. Defeats purpose of a spring summer cool dress. So back it went.

This is a breezy cotton dress with blue and green stripes on a white background, and sleeves that cover the arm to the elbow (a good thing). I brought home an XS (I usually wear a S) because it looked roomy and when I tried it on it definitely was. In fact, there is ruching at the shoulders that blouses out the bust to an unattractive degree. The dress is ankle length with slits on both sides. It would be cool on a hot day.
