Wool Fedora

I had been eyeing this hat for a few months and finally ordered it. It looked like a cowboy hat on top of my head, which is part of the problem of ordering hats online. An additional issue was that the decorative trim was unevenly attached at its juncture and visible to the eye. But before I got to see any of that, the merchandise arrived in a box that was so damaged it gaped wide open. I have never received merchandise like this before. And believe me when I tell you, I am old enough to have seen decades of shipping. To Nordstrom Rack: your client base deserves a much better experience. I was even tempted to not open the box and just bring it back, in toto, to returns. In deciding to open the box, I videotaped opening it. Inside the box, the intact hat was in a dirty plastic bag. But the hat itself was intact. It will be returned more carefully than when received. Bad purchase beyond the hat's unsophisticated (western rustic vibe cloaked-in-black) look. Now I have to buy a box to return. 👎
