Floral Print Corset Bodice Pleated Tulle Midi Cocktail Dress

O lovely dress, you almost won my heart, A vision of beauty, a promising start. The color, the flow, the elegant flair, I pictured myself turning heads everywhere. But alas, dear designer, a question I pose, Did you try this on, or just sketch how it goes? For perched on the shoulders, absurdly askew, Those straps wandered farther than straps ought to do. They teetered and tugged at the edge of each side, Invading the armpits with nowhere to hide. What looked like a dream in the soft studio light Became a discomfort I’d feel all night. I nearly convinced myself, “Keep it, be strong,” For beauty like this doesn’t come along. But weddings are long, and misery’s real, And fashion should never be something you feel… (In the worst way, that is, with a pinch and a squeeze, Not a constant reminder that you can’t just be at ease.) So back it will go, with a sigh and a frown, This almost-great dress I cannot wear to town. A stunner to see, but not meant to be— Farewell, lovely dress. You were almost for me.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous, and fits perfectly until you look at the lightweight tool underneath the armpits. The liner/under part of the dress fits perfectly throughout the bust and everywhere, but the toile under the armpit puffs out like wings under there. Very un-flattering.
