I used it for the first time on our Christmas ribeye roast, and it immediately impressed me. The knives feel solid and well-balanced in your hand, and the pakka wood handles are comfortable without feeling bulky. Slicing through the ribeye was smooth and controlled, giving clean, even cuts without tearing the meat. Since Christmas, I’ve used the set on several other cuts of meat — brisket, pork shoulder, and tri-tip — and it’s held up really well. The blades have stayed sharp, and cleanup has been easy every time. This doesn’t feel like a novelty set that gets used once and put away. It’s a practical, good-quality carving set that I actually reach for when cooking.
