Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

ouch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should have listened to reviews! Beautiful show BUT the metal absolutely digs and scrapes the ankle bone . I used 4 bandaids and still rubbed through . Wore twice now donating. Very disappointed. Love this brand. Don’t buy this one.

Comfortable, beautiful but fell apart
I love these shoes. The leather is soft and buttery. They’re super comfortable and true to size. The only problem is that the sole started flopping after the third wear. It just peeled from the heel forward. I’m shopping for another pair but it was so disappointing that they fell apart.

wanted to love these
I love the quality of the leather, and the design around the ankle. However it’s too big. I normally wear 9, and I have a 9 in another style from same brand. However there were too big around the ankle, and no way to adjust the straps tighter. My foot slid around when I walked, so I returned. With no 1/2 sizes, I didn’t order another pair.

Perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pair of Bedstu boots and another pair of sandals. I LOVE Bedstu- they are ALWAYS comfortable and stylish. I needed a pair of black sandals that aren’t binding (after ankle surgery, my ankle occasionally swells a little, so I needed something other than a thong sandal). These are PERFECT! Ankle is not binding. I normally wear medium width; these provide ample room. (A narrow foot may struggle to wear these sandals unless a N is offered). I receive compliments on them every time I wear them and they are so comfortable to wear. These sandals live up the the Bedstu name and reputation! I wear either an 8.5-9; I went with a 9. Perfect fit. No regrets and would recommend these sandals!!
