Heritage Liddesdale Quilted Jacket

Glad I got this Liddesdale quilted coat on sale as it has a bit of tailored blazer sensibility with its two back vents. I like the soft corduroy collar that I can put up if I want to warm my neck. I ordered my regular size and it fits my slim/athletic frame without room much to spare in the body when I’ve got a heavy flannel shirt on. Consider sizing up or looking into a different quilted model you are not a slim guy. Arms are a little long for me, but I probably won’t get them tailored since they will keep will keep my hands warmer. This is more of a spring/fall coat, but a little warmer than I thought it would be considering it is fairly lightweight. My quibbles: I wish the Barbour logo on the pocket was more subtle. Angled welt or slash pockets would have been more natural for handwarming, but the patch pockets on this jacket are historically accurate and functional.

This is a very nice jacket, for me, the sleeves were a little too long, and a little snug in the chest area, unless you’re wearing a t-shirt underneath I would recommend sizing up. I would be afraid of busting the stitching in the armpit area. The corduroy on the collar seems a little cheap to me, and if you’re looking for warmth, get a different jacket, this is not a heavy duty jacket.
