Constable Quilted Longline Jacket

I noticed fit comments in the reviews about the boxiness of this jacket, narrowness of sleeves or tightness across the shoulders, runs small or runs large, all of which left me a bit confused. After ordering the jacket in the UK8/US4 size that I typically wear in most UK high street brands, I think I understand the comments. The jacket will work better on some body shapes than others. It fits my narrow shoulders well and flares out in an a-line shape over the rest of my torso and hips without being too voluminous. If I needed a bit more room in the shoulders and ordered a size up, the rest of the jacket would be too big through the rest of the body and look very boxy due to the stiffness of the quilted fabric. The black looks really sharp with the corduroy trim and the underside of the collar being the same color rather than contrasting with the body (the plaid linterior lining is well-hidden).
