Hooded Water Resistant Trench Coat

This coat in olive green is a wonderful departure from wash me out beiges. It has a slight sheen ( due to fabric) but only enhances the removal of rain. It is well made with no flaws. I purposely bought this coat because of its color and the lack of a belt. Trench belts are always catching on doorways or sliding off the coat, making it a nuisance for me. I typically wear a large blouse and a ladies 12 in coats/ shirts. I first thought it may be too big as the body has plenty of room for a stockier person but drapes so nicely due to the fabric. I adjusted the buttons at the sleeve and it felt and looked better fitted. It has a hood with adjustable toggles to fit your head. The length and color and the absence of the belt is what attracted me to this coat. The olive blends very well with other shades of green without being offensive. It is fully lined so it glides over your skin and clothing and separates you from the wet weather elements. The length keeps my entire outfit dry especially during those horizontal rain gusts. The buttons are well sewn. The style is classic so I will be enjoying this coat for a long time. The fabric resists stains like muddy splashes. There is no metals on this coat and I anticipate passing through metal detectors without issues. It has two front pockets to tuck your hands into. This coat is a keeper.
