leather not smooth, lived-in look
Was looking for waterproof Chelsea boots that look good and durable and this specific boot came up in an article as their top recommendation. The picture on the Nordstrom site gives the appearance like the leather of the boot is very smooth however, when I received the product, it looks very wrinkly, which is not the look I was going for. If you like the lived-in look, then this is fine, it just wasn’t what I wanted.

Doesn’t fit well
I tried two different widths. B medium was too tight and C wide was way too large. I’m returning it altogether. Also I wish the shaft height wasn’t so high above the ankle, cutting the leg in a weird spot and leaving a poor esthetical appearance.

Quality and Comfortable Boot
Absolutely love these boots. I have yet to dislike anything from Ariat. These boots are durable, mold to your feet like leather should, and are comfortable to be on your feet in. Whether I am walking around the school building, or trudging in and out of the building in the snow or rain, I am not worried about damaging these boots or having my feet hurt! My only complaint is that the toe box is fairly narrow. Even though I have slender feet, I can only wear certain socks with these boots, otherwise my toes and the top parts of the front of my foot feel squished. I wish I had gotten a half size up for that reason. I wanted the boots to break in before I was sure, but at that point it is too late to exchange. Still 10/10 recommend!
