Roxy Weatherproof Tall Boot (Women)

Wow I would never imagine Aquatalia would put their name on these boots. Obviously they did not pass inspection and that's why they wound up at the Rack. I own seven pairs of aquatalias and they are impeccable. When I saw the price I jumped at the change to buy a pair for my SIL. First, they didn't even come in a shoebox or a bag. Can't give them as a gift obviously. They look like fake leather and the covered zipper down the side looks like someone was learning to sew for the very first time. The buckle and zipper pull are both horribly scuffed. I feel embarrassed I ordered these. Going back to full price only. It's on sale for a reason.

These boots don’t deserve the extreme negative reviews they’re getting. Are they worth full price? No. But at the sale price, the quality makes them a reasonable deal. The calf is narrow, though the full elastic back makes them slightly more forgiving. The elastic is fairly stiff, which helps the boots keep their upright shape. The shaft is also much taller than other knee-high boots I’ve owned. That doesn’t bother me since I’m tall and most of my height is in my long legs; however, when sitting, I could occasionally feel the stiff elastic at the back. This could definitely be uncomfortable for someone with a shorter heel-to-calf length. I don’t think they run particularly small or narrow. After reading reviews, I sized up within my usual 9.5–10 range and am happy with the fit. Overall, they’re an updated yet classy boot and make a nice replacement for my worn-out pair.

I am on the fence about this boot. The leather looks a little plasticly. Bothers me a bit, but not enough to return. I like the style a lot. I feel that the height of the boot is about 1/2”- 1” too high, but it’s still below my knee. I am 5’7 for reference. My biggest disappointment was the circumference of the boot. It is a bit wide. Usually when there is an elasticized back, the boot is narrow and then can stretch for a wider calf. This is why I am on the fence about returning. It’s just too wide from the ankle up for me. I prefer a form fitting knee boot. I think it’s worth a try if you usually wear a boot that is 15”-15 1/2” in circumference.

These are perfect! Fit TTS and not too tight or too loose. I’m petite at 5’2” and a great height for me. Leather feels supple and comfortable and not stiff. I have been looking for a classic, timeless riding boot with a low heel for quite some time and many returns later, these are the winners!
