Maddie Water Resistant Bootie (Women)

I first bought the Maddie in Whiskey suede. Love the look but even though I sized down from a 6.5 to a 6 my heel still slipped a bit (length and width were perfect for my average width feet). When the black leather came up on sale for a phenomenal price in size 6, I impulsively bought it too but later regretted the purchase and planned to return, expecting not to like it as much. Well the black boots arrived yesterday. I tried them on just to be sure I wanted to return them and ended up loving them too. (Maybe even more than the suede!) They are truly a minimalist, chic, timeless boot that will go with everything. I will note that the leather version feels smaller/narrower than the suede (almost too small) even though the size is exactly the same. I hope they will stretch a bit with wear. Oddly enough and maybe it’s my imagination but the footbed in the leather seems to have more cushion than the suede. I reviewed the suede as not being all that comfortable. the heel felt as flat as the toes, but that issue wasn’t at all apparent in leather. Nevertheless I’m thrilled with the leather boots and expect they will get lots of use for years to come.
