Cheap looking
I usually love the quality of Aquatalia shoes. These were disappointing since the leather appeared fake, cheap, and firm. Not what I usually expect from this brand.

The price does not live up to the quality, Sorry!
I really wanted to be wowed by these amazing looking, Italian made booties. I got them on sale which definitely softens the blow. After owning them for just over two weeks and wearing them maybe half a dozen times (if that), BOTH boots came apart where the heel meets the foot bed along the back. Shocking! The salesperson noted that she had never seen that before and that they possibly were not glued correctly to begin with. Hmmm.
Naturally, Nordstrom customer service came to the rescue (simply the BEST!) found me a new pair, shipped them expressly and made the even exchange.
I want to give these booties five stars because they look amazing, feel comfortable and are warm but I simply cannot justify that price knowing that the quality may not be what it should be.
I can only recommend this product if you get them on sale.

Best boots this year
These are easily 5 star boots. My first pair were the high ones that replaced my rain boots from the 90's. Thought it was time. Aquatalia makes such comfortable shoes I found myself wearing them all the time. When I was looking for a light color and saw the grey shorties I knew I had to have them because the 2.5" heel is perfect. Seems like more with the little platform. Since they were on sale I got black as well. Worth the investment because I know I'll have them a long time. Was pleasantly surprised to note how WARM they are. So I'm not wearing my others much this winter. Getting tons of compliments!

Nice Winter Boot
Very happy I found these on sale. It is the perfect winter boot. Very warm with the fur lined inside and a wedge heel for added style and comfort. Just what I was looking for for the long walk to my office from the parking lot on cold winter mornings. It is not a dainty boot, it is well made and durable and I am confident it will last many many winters.

Great boots, however...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aquatalia are well made, comfortable boots/shoes. I liked the height of these (2 inches) however they were a bit too heavy/clunk for me. The platform weighed me down a bit. Also, the leather was a bit bulky in the front (see front of boot). I felt like I was wearing orthopedic shoes. I returned these. The suede version were a bit more streamlined.
