I just Love it!
It's a rich, complex scent, and I just love it. I have the diffuser in my gym, and it adds an overlay of enjoyment to my workouts. As I enter the room I think, "I get to do this, rather than I have to do this". . . . . It adds so much to my day.

Black Iris Oak: lovely, but sometimes overwhelming
The Black Iris Oak scent is lovely, somewhat exotic. I have had this candle (large size) for over a year; when I use it, I allow the candle to burn for just a short period, because the scent can become overwhelming. Unlike the previous poster, I do not find the scent "too mild" -- in fact, of all the Apotheke candles I have bought (Canvas, White Vetiver, Sea Salt Grapefruit, Tomato Tarragon) this one seems the most scent-dense (I think I just made up a word). The scent lingers in the air for a good amount of time after the candle is blown out. I just love it.
