V-Neck Midi Dress

I already have another flutter sleeve dress from & Other Stories that I like very much so when I needed a black dress for a funeral, this was an easy and obvious answer. The dress is great and is as expected. The fabric is opaque however I have a half-slip skirt to wear under to give the skirt a little more shape and quality- I do this with most dresses as most are unlined these days (including this one) and it makes the dresses look higher quality. The half slip definitely brings it up the to the next level. BUT one major difference (which I actually preferred) is that the buttons were BLACK not mother of pearl/ ivory colored as in the photos. I think it makes the dress more formal as it is monotoned now and this suits my purpose but I am surprised that Nordstrom is selling a different version than what is photographed.
