Paris Surplice Wrap Midi Dress

I bought this dress in my NR store before I read the reviews and they only had a size 12 in the store. I always appreciate it when fellow shoppers add their body measurements since shopping online is hard enough so the more information the better. I’m a 36 bust 28 waist and 40 hip, my mother has blessed me with an ample behind oh and I’m 5’3” sooooo yeah. The sizes I generally wear are 8 on top and 10 on bottom but when I came across this dress in a size 12. I almost didn’t try it on since a 12 would probably swim on my upper half but I love a true wrap dress so I tried it and it fit well. It wrapped all the way across my bottom half like a proper wrap dress which also brought the neckline farther up on my chest but was this 12 too big? Then I went online looking for a size 10 and found the reviews and decided to stick with the 12. In my opinion the sizing isn’t correct for this wrap dress and if you’re shaped like me and curious how it’ll look on you I’d size up 2 sizes. Full disclosure after reading reviews I do plan on adding a hook and eye on the front neckline opening to make sure it stays put. As far as the fabric, I think it’s a beautiful dark navy color. The shine is nice and it has a pretty drape after pressing. I hope this helps.

I bought this for my best friend’s wedding and it was absolutely awful. You will never figure out how it’s supposed to be tied, and the photos online do not help. The neckline is too deep, and the dress falls open as soon as you walk. The material is good (I spilled beer on it and it dried right away and you couldn’t tell at all), and the pattern is beautiful, but it’s not worth the poor design. I spent all night holding a jacket up to my body so the dress wouldn’t fall open. I regret buying this so much!

Looked very poor quality—a wrinkled mess. The neckline was a very deep V. The wrap skirt barely overlapped. If you walked in the dress, it would come apart. There aren’t any buttons, or fasteners. You have to rely on the tie. I normally wear a size 10-12, but purchased a size 14 due to the warning to buy a size bigger. The large top and small bottom made a very strange fit. Skip this one!
