Sequin Lace Cold Shoulder Trumpet Evening Gown

I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on this dress and continue to get now that the pictures are coming out. It covers all the right spots and sits so nicely on the body. It has the sequence without the weight. It has the stretch without looking cheap. It was so comfortable I forgot I was in a fancy gown many times. The length was perfect with short heels.

Ordered on a whim b/c Blush looks like baby pink (which I didn't want, but I liked being able to wear a natural bra with it, so I gave it a shot). So glad I did! Blush is actually a deeply saturated rose; it coordinates with the warm pinks of the wedding palette I'm working with, but it's not so warm that it washes me out as most "mom" gowns do, in the usual pale or dusty rose/pink. Dress also has sparkly sequins that brighten up the tone a great deal; they're not overkill but they lift the whole gown from the usual "mom" blah-pink color to a lovely cool pink. About the style: this dress looks best if you don't carry extra weight in the midsection: with the waist seam and the slim cut, it's pretty unforgiving in that area, but if you have a bigger bra-cup size (unlike the very trim model; I don't think she's the best choice for this dress) combined with a slim midriff & hips, this dress style is smashing & I'd highly recommend it. I'll keep the 8 but could possibly have worn a 6. Dress is widely available at other retailers as well, if Nordstrom's sold out of your size.

Love love loved the dress. I bought it on March 16, 2025 for my daughter's wedding on June 7, 2025. I hadn't tried it on since I bought it until June 1st, 2025. Went to zip it and the zipper completely broke. I have 4 days to figure something out. Pretty upsetting to spend $270 on a dress just to have it break 5 days before a very important event.
