A bit cheap-feeling fabric and ornamentation
Alex Evenings generally has nice clothes. I ordered a few different dresses from different makers on Nordstrom one for a formal cocktail reception and one for a black tie optional wedding the next day.
The full length mink-colored gown from Alex Evenings is amazing! This steel-colored dress (color is very nice), not so much. And the sale price for each is only about $15 apart. I am short so I thought I would try this dress to see how it would fit me for the wedding. It is a long midi/tea dress length. The mink-colored gown is way too long, but it is of FAR BETTER quality. I am planning to have it altered rather than going with this dress, which does not even look like it is from the same maker.
Maybe if I had not seen the other dress, I would feel more positive…but still…
