Ex-Boyfriend Mid Rise Slouchy Slim Jeans

I just received these and they are SO comfortable, but I had to drop down 2 sizes to make them work. I am 5’4”, 140 lbs with an athletic build and size 27 gave me the most flattering fit. I’m 56 years old and finding jeans lately has been challenging; anything high rise and/or wide leg just doesn’t work for me. Hoping these go the distance!!

First off, these were not mid rise. As soon as I unzipped to try on the zipper seemed really short. They are for sure more low rise, coming up to just above my hip bones. Second, I am not sure why the overall reviews call these out as running big. They run small. I am 27 across most brands/styles. Sometimes a 26 if they run big but never have to size up to a 28. In these, I'd need a 29. For reference I am hourglass shaped. The denim is a nice light weight and soft, the length is perfect. I just wish the rise was a true mid, if it were I'd just get them in a 28 or 29. So sad to have to return but the rise can't be fixed by sizing differently.

I have another pair of these in a lighter wash and have been wearing them all summer, decided to get these in this darker color and am so glad I did! Super cute and the fit is great. I’m 5’10 and every pair of AG I own are size 26. I think if I sized down the rise would be too short for me. Really happy with this purchase and great price, highly recommend
