Plaid Flannel Pajama Pants

Love that these are 100% cotton and comfy. I bought size S and XS in store and at home washed and dried the S, which was roomy beforehand. It shrunk to how I would expect a S to fit. The XS fit nicely pre-wash, but I was afraid it would shrink too tight in the waist, so I returned. The S was about 3 inches shorter after wash, didn't check if lengths were the same prior. I'm 5' 5" and 28" waist.

I purchased these pajama pants because they are made of 100% cotton and the navy color was very cute. I was happy to have found them! Since they are pajamas, I wanted them to be clean, I thought it might have been tried on by others, I decided to wash them once before wearing them for the first time, just to be safe. So I put them in the washing machine with my other clothes. To my shock, all my clothes I washed with were completely covered in navy-colored threads, lint, and tiny fabric fibers. It turned out a terrible mess. The navy color has worked its way into the fabric of my other clothes and will not come out. It was completely unexpected, and I am utterly disappointed. Now, even if I want to return them, the tags are already removed and washed once, I have a feeling the store will give me a hard time or refuse the return. I never imagined something like this could happen with Nordstrom Rack purchase. I will never buy deeply colored flannel pajamas again—lesson learned.
