Thin material and larger than expected

I am 5’6” 130lbs and purchased a size 27 according to the size chart. The jeans were overall too large and also about 2 inches too long. A size down would be a better fit but would still probably be too loose in the waist. The material was also thinner than I was expecting.

These run large. I am usually a size 24 and the 23 could be a tad more snug, which might be achieved after the first wash. Great stretch, moderate weight material. I'm 5'5 and these will be perfect with flats. Not long enough for heels.
