Tie Waist Pleated Cotton Midi Skirt

As others state, this is a lovely skirt. However, it is much too long for me. While the photo shows the skirt length to be a few inches below the knee, my skirt reaches my ankle. I am 5"2" and 90 pounds, and I purchased a size x small. I am wondering if I have shrunk. I do not want to go through the inconvenience and cost of having it altered. I think I will return.

The skirt runs large in both width & length. I am 5’7”, usually between a large & extra large. I went with the large-it’s really roomy even with the elastic waist & it hits a few inches above my ankles as opposed to how it looks in the photos (which I prefer bc midis tend to visually shorten my legs anywho). I probably could have done a medium in this which is never a thing when it comes to dressing my massive hips / rear, but the large works so i’m keeping it. It is not lined. Because of how light & airy the fabric is it’s a bit transparent & requires a slip. 10/10 worth it.
