Cape Jacket

I have big arms, due in part to my peri-menopause, but most likely because I love eating. :) That said, my arms have been a bit of problem getting into jackets and feeling comfortable in them. So a split sleeve sounded practical to me. What I did not realize was that this was basically a suit jacket that was a vest without sleeves and a cape right on top. And not a simple split sleeve. I mention this because the cape itself sits on top of the back and IT does not have a split down the center back. Which, if you raise your arms even slightly, the shoulders start to rise because there is no flare in the cape. It is perfect if you plan to keep your arms down but anything more than raising your hand to shake is to make your shoulders pop. Basically, you are acting like you forgot to put on deodorant and worried you will smell. It fits well in the shoulder but again, it is the ease in the cape itself that is a problem for me, which I don't necessarily think sizing up would fix.
