I will be returning for an xxs
I purchased this item before I read the reviews. I will be returning my extra small for an xxs. Yes the sweater is thin, but not cheap. It is very soft. It is made of wool so it may be itchy for some. But very soft. Also not feeling cheap. It has a good weight to it because though it is a thin cardigan, it is made of wool which is heavier. I’d say it runs a bit large or slightly large. The pockets are nice. The length is nice. The sale price was amazing. This is a great sweater, don’t listen to the negative reviews.

Avoid avoiding avoid
The pilling is HORRENDOUS. It's a disaster in the wash. Pilling got all over another another sweater. It's such a headache. Avoid this cardigan, despite the brand, it is NOT madewell at all.

Nice but not as pictured
I received this earlier this week, and although the tag said Antique Cream, the colors aren’t as pictured. The stripes in the sweater are (top to bottom) ivory, oatmeal, camel, and charcoal gray instead of the the ivory, pink, oatmeal, and dark brown stripes shown. The sweater is nice and I liked the colors of this sweater enough to keep it. A little disappointed that the colors are not exactly as pictured but it’s still a nice soft sweater.

Fuzz everywhere
I loved the style and the color, but from day one, this cardigan sheds like crazy. Even after two washes, it still sheds and it is all over the air, car, office chair, etc. I will not buy this type again from Madewell.

Nice Colors-Horrible Pilling
I was really surprised how nice the sweater looked when I received it. It was really soft and the colors were perfect. The day I wore it out it pilled horribly!!!! If she’s everywhere and left lint all over my car. I will need to remove the pilling every time I wear it!
