Gaviota 4 Running Shoe (Women)

At first I was a bit skeptical about getting another pair of Gaviotas since my first Hokas were Gaviota 2’s and while very comfortable when I tried them on, soon became increasingly uncomfortable and I finally gave them away. But thesecGaviota 4’s are a totally different story—and are among the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn! I have very flat feet, so it’s not often that I can say this about a pair of shoes—even Hokas! I wore these Gaviota 4’s directly out of the box to a local street fair-/walked around the fair for nearly 3 hours (over 2 miles) without needing to sit down once—and my feet didn’t hurt at all! I might add that I am 81 years old..and these Hoka Gaviota 4’s have already become my favorite “go to” shoes!

Shoes were great until sole started to detach from the shoe this month (April). Purchased at Nordstrom Rack in January 2024 for $120. Tried to return to Nordstrom Rack store, manager refused to take the shoes back as it was outside the 30 day return window. No additional assistance offered (where to file a warranty claim, etc). Contacted Nordstrom customer service again. They were very polite and sympathetic. Offered to write an incident ticket, but couldnt do anything else. Another store was kind enough to help me regenerate receipt so i can try to return to Hoka warranty process. Very disappointed in Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom. No longer want to shop at either store brand anymore. Will go down the street to the running shoe store and pay more.
