Cole Haan Collared Open Bottom Faux Leather Jacket

I have owned three of these attractive, black open collar jackets, and wanted to obtain a replacement for the one whose collar deteriorated. The previous jackets were made of heavy weight but classy faux leather with a slight grainy texture. The interior was likewise composed of quality material and insulation. Sad to say, the same jacket is now has a distinct plastic appearance, is lightweight--a shell of its former self--and anyone who has owned both can unmistakably tell the difference. The previous jacket could be worn in the winter months (CA); the newer version could only be worn in the spring, because it is so lightweight. Beware: the faux leather does degrade--cracks and flakes off--after only three years or so. I returned this newer version, very disappointed.
