The 4 keep warm temperature settings (160 F, 175 F, 195 F, 208 F) allow you to brew anything from green tea to French press coffee to perfection. Bad insulation. Cheaper material.
I have 18 year old Zojirushi water boiler so decided to replace it. This new unit absolutely feel less quality as the old one. Very bad insulation as the upper outside feel hot when touch. This is not a good replacement even my old one is 18 year old.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your new water boiler. The CD-WHC40 model does not come with insulation, so it's normal to feel some heat transfer to the exterior. Boils and keeps water warm, super convenient!
Water boiler and warmer works great. It runs at lower wattage than standard hot water pots, even when heating to a boil. Exactly what we needed. Timer feature is great to have hot water ready in the morning when you come into the kitchen.

Good design but one area for improvement.
Great for having a stanless steel basin which should not rust out like the teflon coated one from Zojirushu that we had before (which still lasted a decade). But, I feel like this boiler could use extra insulation to prevent heat from coming out and wasting energy. Perhaps a vacuum wall design would be beneficial.
