So disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of this jacket, with the dickey option, and the construction was nicely done. Inside dickey zippers laid very flat, and added no bulk when the dickey was added. Outside zippers are cool/edgyy,a and also laid flat. The snaps on the sleeves were very high quality. But the material is awful. I expected “scuba” would mean a smooth fabric, maybe even modern neoprene, but this is a verrry polyester crepe. Arrived wrinkled and looked very matronly and cheap. Returned!
Plus sizing runs big. I should have ordered my regular size, as sizing up per the chart was a HUGE mistake... it’s off by 2 sizes.

Is this normal?
I put my jacket up to steam in front of a closet light and noticed that I can see through the back seam down the middle of the jacket? For $609 I feel like this should be better quality. I’m concerned it will split down the middle at some point. I’ve attached pictures. Is this normal?

My New Favorite Brand
Oh my…I cannot say enough good things about this Scuba blazer. I just recently discovered VB through her Mason tee, the cutest, most feminine tee I own. I had never heard of her Dickey Blazers, but stumbled upon them while returning a Cinq blazer of similar look but nowhere near the quality. The fabric of the Scuba blazer is amazing and I love the snaps and zippers! I’m 5’8” with normal arm length and the sleeve length on the Size 14 blazer is perfect. I purchased the gray hoodie dickey which is wonderful but may return it and get the cashmere one off the VB website. Of course Nordstrom makes returns so very easy which is critical to me as I don’t set foot in brick & mortar stores any more. The whole Veronica Beard “dickey system” is subtle and flawless. Like I said, I’m her new biggest fan!
