"SPECIAL FIT"
This style of shoe provides excellent support and nonskid sole for my brother, who I purchased them as a gift for Christmas. He is an amputee above the knee on the left and not using a prosthetic. He's confined to his w/c, so the velcro loop closures provide easy on and off for him. We kid about having to purchase a pair of shoes, but only getting to use the right shoe. Too bad people with special needs couldn't purchase 2 right footed shoes. Just a thought!

Velcro Straps.
Velcro straps are very short. My husband's had to be pulled very tight just to meet. He has an older pair that fit perfect. I was very disappointed in this pair.

For short-term or long-distance walking, this New Balance shoe is top-notch. High marks for comfort, flexibility, ease to use the velcro flap to hold the shoe tightly on your foot. I get at least a year of steady wear out of these shoes.

Great shoe! Velcro strap not quite long enough.
These shoes are comfortable from the very first time you wear them. They are sized correctly, and are quality made. My only complaint, and the reason I giving 4 stars, is that the Velcro straps need to be longer. I bought the extra extra wide -there is the hint that I have a big foot-yet when I pull the Velcro tight it only reaches halfway across the top of the shoe. I’ve seen this complaint before-maybe a design change could happen if enough people point out problems with this issue.
