Too narrow for me
Nice but gave away because they were not wide enough and it was a no return sale. The person I gave them to really liked them and she will get a lot of use out of them.

Very fragile sole, extremely disappointed
Tread of the soles are coming off only ten months after bought, with very moderate use (less than 5 times). All of our other Merrell shoes last at least 2 years, some of them even 10 years, but this pair is such a disappointment.

not for hiking
These are light weight! True to size. Gore-tex! BUT the heel is too squishy. I just tried them on at home with wood floor. The heel just squished over. So I don't think it will be supported enough during a hike.

Comfortable, not durable
It's light, waterproof, and comfortable, especially for summer. But the tip and sole are separated from the shoe after using only several times.

Merrell gets it right
my feet have spread out as i’ve aged. so my decade old merrell boots had to go. i got these in a wide and i think they could be a teency bit wider.
besides that small quibble; they were, overall, comfortable right out of the box, required little no break-in period, and i felt secure on the trail full of scrabble.
and they’re purple! i seriously couldn’t believe my luck about the color and width being in my size.
and their customer service is excellent. there was an issue w/my credit card that turned out to be a Merrell security feature, not my card. and the person i talked to got me all squared away in no time. and my boots were on my feet within a business week.
so, treat yourself! you’ll be glad you did!

Wore for the first time for 3 hrs in the Rocky Mountains in CO today…..paths were snow and ice covered and I had no problem ..comfortable and warm
