This model have a zipper, the laces are fake, you cannot really regulate how tight the boots sit.

Great shoeless option, 1 flaw
These are really well constructed with a nice firm, thick sole that absorbs a lot of shock but doesn't feel hard at all. The one problem is that the zipper has a large tag which catches on the other shoe and can pull them down when you're walking so they loosen from time to time. Not a big problem though, easy enough to tighten quickly. I would try to order them exactly the right size or half a size smaller since they stretch a little and you can't adjust like you cam with shoelaces.
