Alpine 83 Recraft Sneaker (Women)

First of all, I have LOVED these shoes for years. I owned 2 pairs of the previous model (multi-color& black), and borrowed my daughter’s whose were the same shoe but in a different color (white version) This is my third personal pair of these shoes; and while I LOVE the colors and style, I don’t like the neoprene ankle band on this new model. I wear these as casual shoes for work and travel, so not much hard hiking. The neoprene rubs wrong on the skin unless you’re wearing taller socks (can’t be any ankle socks). I still wear them daily, but am bummed they can’t be worn with my short running/exercise socks. (I teach fitness classes and personal train, so tall socks aren’t an option if I want to stay cool).

My Alpine 83’s arrived just in time to enjoy walking in the fall leaves. They feel great, almost like they propel me forward. I love the color (camel) neutral enough to go with everything and a pop of color to make them fun. No trouble getting them on and I like that there is no “tongue” that slides as I walk.
